OK food. We had to wait 20 minutes before we were even allowed to order drinks, despite the table we had ordered. Although we had complained about this, there was no apology, just a fleeting justification. A corona hygiene concept does not exist here. You have to leave your details on a piece of paper, but that's about it. The shop is completely overcrowded and there is only 30cm between the tables and no panes of glass or the like. Absolute disaster.

Ristorante Da Carlo is absolutely the best Italian is all of East Westphalia and we always like to come back here for a pleasant evening. The pizza is the best across Detmold, Minden and Herford and is still traditionally prepared in a wood oven with an open fire. The pasta and other dishes are of course also delicious. Price performance and great! You can still look over the shoulder of the pizza baker here. The staff is always polite, committed and quick like nowhere else. We never had to wait long for a drink and the dishes come together super quickly and even when the place is full! to the table. The boss personally welcomes and says goodbye to his guests here and you just feel good. Even if the restaurant is fully booked, we will try to find a place for guests without a reservation, laudable! Just finding a parking space is difficult ... Keep up the good work, dear Da Carlo team, we will definitely come back again and again.

Staff very unfriendly (sometimes not even a good evening when walking past). The fried egg on the pizza was raw, the translucent egg white was spread over the pizza. Actually, I thought that during the corona period, the innkeepers are happy about everyone who comes ... Even if I absolutely understand that the mask is very exhausting for the restaurateurs, it doesn't help if you wear them under your nose ...
